05.14.08 St. Francis Prep vs. Bishop Ford. 2006 CHSAA Junior Varsity A baseball at the Parade Ground
Chris Fesler did a Magnificent Job Holding the
Falcons Scoreless
"Zach pitched well to win the ball
game." according to Coach
Terrence Legree of
Bishop Ford Memorial High School. Unfortunately for
Zachary Calabrese (#22) "Zach", the defense gave no support,
for the team had only nine players and most of the Falcons were
playing out of their positions, as ten Falcons arrived at the
Parade Ground field 4, but, the other nine watched one of their
own got carried away by EMS to the hospital due to pre-game warm
up injury.
As well as Zach pitched a good seven innings of baseball,
Saint Francis Preparatory’s
own
Chris Fesler (30) did a magnificent job holding the Falcons
scoreless for the lasting of the game. He registered nine strike
outs, two hits and two walks. He got into trouble in the bottom
second inning, but quickly got out of it on a costly running mistake by
one of the Falcons.
Coach
Justin Kelly confidently watches his Franciscan righty
throwing almost ninety pitches on the mound. Classifying Fesler
as one of the two top pitchers in his rotation, Kelly feels
confident that the 2008 Franciscans is the team to reckon with
in the
CHSAA Junior Varsity “A” Division, as his offence, led by
first baseman
Michael Donofrio (26) who went three for three, including a
double in the fourth to drive in a run, his second of the day.
Catcher
James Paskor (20), who caught the whole game contributed big
with two hits. His biggest of the day, a single in the fourth
that scored two runs.
