Byron White (#30) of
Christ the King hit a home run at Keyspan Park with a
wooden bat, but starting
pitcher, Stephen Bove (#5) of
Bishop Ford
dominated the day at Keyspan Park in this
CHSAA Brooklyn A Baseball Division.
Stenphen Bove pitched the seven innings, recorded only
two strike out. He got out of trouble in the first inning,
but gave up a run in the second. He settled down for the
next four until the top of the seventh, when Byron White hit
a shot that went over the left field’s “315 feet” marker.
Vinnie Lahana (#23) climbed the mound for the Royals
in the 2nd inning. He was on the wild side,
however, former Major Leagues pitcher, Head Coach
Alan Watson, is confident that the young pitcher could
have done better if he had a chance to properly warmed up.
The Falcons collected seven hits, including a triple
by Tomas Pimentel (#4) in the first. He later scored. Louis
Mastrandrea (#33) had two hits, including a double to drive
two runs in the bottom of the 5th inning.
Designated
hitter, Noran Hoepel (#10) also had two singles and a RBI.
Although the Falcons scattered seven hits, Head Coach
Mike Hanrahan feels that his team can hit better, but is
satisfied that all his hitters are making contact. It’s a
matter of time before all of them steps up.
Coach Watson echoes the same situation for the Royals,
as he is expecting his seniors to step up to pave the way to
start winning. Watch the whole game below.
