The last time I saw Coach Paul Giffone of the Visitation was at his home gymnasium, in Red Hook, Brooklyn. That evening, as much as he was disappointed that the opposing team did not show up, I was as much as he was that I did not have a game to put on my website. That was in January 2007.
This time, today, at Grace Gymnasium, Coach Giffone predicted that his team was the team to beat. His Visitation team had to overcome a 10 points deficit to beat the Our Lady of Grace in the Catholic Youth Organization Boys Intermediate Basketball Division. From what we understand, the close-game was not what the coach expected, as Visitation did beat Grace by a wide margin, the last time the two 8th graders teams met.
Shaheen Trammel #2, Kenny Frazier #13 and James Cook #4 scored 10 points, 15 points and 12 points, each, respectively for Visitation.
