Knock! Knock! The X-Men are knocking! Boom! Boom! Somebody's
heart is beating, fast, knowing that the Clippers of
Xaverian High
School varsity football team is no longer the laughing stock of
the
Catholic High Schools Athletic Association (CHSAA)
Football League AAA
Division Football.
Last year, the Clippers went 0 and 10, their first year, in the
CHSAA AAA Division. So, far this year, their record is as good
as that of Head Coach
Joe DeSiena's perfect record at 2 and 0, after he took
over the Helm of the Clippers that convincingly defeated the
first-year CHSAA Division AAA participant,
St. Francis Prep.Terriers,
on September 20, 2008, at
Kings Bay Youth Organization's Joe Spina Field.
On Friday, September 26, in their third consecutive night
games, Coach DeSiena will face the biggest challenge of
his young career, when he takes his 1-0 conference record to
face the reigning
2007 CHSAA AAA Champions,
St. Anthony's at
St. Anthony's home field. Accosting him, will be his top
guns
X-Men Jaquan Bethune(32), Wesley Sumpter(34), Oday
Aboushi(51), Gerald Estrada(28), Dom DeMarco(11) and
Najee Taylor(7) who helped down the first-year AAA
Division St. Francis Prep.
