10.03.09 Cardinal Hayes vs. Xavier -Xavier Knights Ended Skid by Rolling Over Cardinals of Hayes at Brooklyn's Marine Park.
After sustaining a devastating defeat at the hands of  St. John the Baptist, the Knights of Xavier freshman football team bounced back to end their two game losing skid by rolling all over Cardinal Hayes at Marine Park in Brooklyn.
Despites great efforts by the Cards, Xavier's #3, Rhen Rodriguez , #5, Jimmy Wolfer, #7, Ryan Kilgallen, #33, Brendan McCabe, #54, Ricky Comis and #55, Luis Corpio forced Hayes to turn over the football.
When on the offensive, these same Knights pounded the Hayes defense, as the Knights went to defeat the Cardinals 28-8
#24, Joshua Morton scored the lone touch down for the Cardinals. He also scored the extra points.
One great remark about Head Coach Norman Coard: Although losing the football game, he made sure that all his players entered the game at some point.
