2008 New York Metropolitan Showcase at Old Boys & Girls High School - March 29, 2008
The New York Metropolitan College Soccer Showcase shines the light on many very talented high school soccer.
 The blustery wind on this last Saturday of March 2008 at Old Boys & Girls High School soccer field would not stop the mostly Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) soccer players from waiting for their chances to demonstrate their skills in front of as many as 15 college coaches.
The Girls, particularly, waited for hours to get a chance to be showcased to the scouts. #3 Amanda Viteri , #9 Shanelle Warrick, #10 Njambi Morgan, and #25 Nisaa Shabazz scored goals in the girls only match of the day. While three of the girls scored was recorded, the cameraman failed to show #10 Njambi Morgan's direct kick goal. But, Ms. Morgan's record on direct kicks can be found on her PSAL profile.
As for the boys, certain players truly made good impressions on the college coaches. #54 Keegan Estrada, #56 Yanick Brady, #59 Ivor Cumberbatch, #21 Urim Bibovic and #22 Theodore Durel scored goals, demonstrating their skills.
