Shamus Turner Three Times Too Much for Midwood

Shamus Turner
(24) scored three times for St. Francis Prep. of the
Catholic High Schools Athletic
Association (CHSAA), as they Franciscan defeated the
Midwood Hornets of the
Public Schools Athletic League
(PSAL) nine to four in today’s varsity Lacrosse match at Aviator
in a non-league game.
At the end of
the first half the hornets were down seven to one on a lonely
Hornet goal by
Zavos, Stephen (13). But, they bounced back, scoring
two goals in the third quarter on efforts by
Sirgiovanni, Dylan (29) and
Wramage, Nicholas (19). However, St. Francis answered with
two points of theirs by Chris O’Connor (35) and Robert Schule
(20) in that same quarter .Tom Brady (28) scored in the
first and second quarters for St. Francis.
After Wramage
scored in the fourth for the Hornets, St Francis took possession
of the ball for the last seven minutes of the game and ran the
clock out. Joe Russo (12) also scored in the 2nd
quarter for St Francis.
